St. Petersburg Technical Fair 2018

From March 20 to March 22, 2018, the St. Petersburg Technical Fair (PTFair) will be once again bringing together the leading Russian and international industrial enterprises.
For 14 years now, the St. Petersburg Technical Fair (PTFair) has been the key industrial exhibition and convention of the Russian North-West. The creation of this event has been driven by market demand, and its format has been chosen by its participants. The PTFair is the very first Russian counterpart of the world-famous Hannover Messe.
In 2017, the fair attracted over 200 participants and was visited by 6,500 professionals from 19 countries. The number of experts contributing to the business programme exceeded 1,000. In other words, the annual St. Petersburg Technical Fair gives the exhibitors an opportunity to achieve their main goals. These may include showcasing the latest technological inventions, discovering new sales channels, or sharing experience and finding partners for a joint search for new development points.
The PTFair covers a broad range of specialised themed sections. Traditionally, the main sections include: Metalworking; Metallurgy. Casting; Mechanical Engineering; Fasteners. Metal Hardware. Tools; High Technology. Innovations. Investments (HI-TECH).
This line-up is being continually joined by new sections, as new industries keep emerging. For instance, the Automation of Industrial Enterprises section, which was included in the exhibition programme in 2017, proved appealing to a great number of participants and guests. This section will be featured once again at the new fair of 2018, demonstrating the achievements of exhibitors that produce equipment or develop software and technology for industrial enterprises from the machine and tool building; car manufacture; metallurgy; chemical processing; aircraft manufacture; transportation, power, and oil-and-gas machine building; shipbuilding; and metalworking sectors.
In 2018, the PTFair exhibition agenda will be expanded with as many as three completely new sections:
  • Plastics. Polymers. Industrial Rubber Products
  • Auto Kits. Vehicle Maintenance
  • Labour Safety and Personal Protection Equipment
Since the exhibitors from some sectors are also the target audience of others, this makes taking part in the St. Petersburg Technical Fair even more efficient. After all, this format allows the participating companies to meet several major challenges at once: they can both tell their potential clients about the benefits of their goods and services, evaluate the competitive advantages of their products and the potential of their competitors, receive updates on promising developments in their area of industrial interest, find investors and sales partners, and discuss urgent issues with colleagues from other enterprises.
Yet another advantage offered by PTFair to the exhibitors is an opportunity to enter a prestigious contest for the Best Innovation Project and the Best Scientific and Technical Development of the Year, established by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the Russian Federation in 1998. Taking part in the contest not only allows companies to present themselves to the public as top leaders, but also opens a platform for demonstrating new inventions to the potential investors and buyers that can be found both among fellow participants and among visiting professionals.
The exhibition is to be supplemented by a business programme, which is highly relevant to the industries represented. Comprised out of conferences, round tables, presentations and seminars, the matchmaking centre, and the subcontracting centre, this programme will focus on boosting competitiveness and finding ways to meet the consumers' needs as efficiently as possible.
Furthermore, there will be several concurrent events at the same venue as the PTFair:
  •  the High Technologies. Innovations. Investments (HI-TECH) convention,
  •  an innovative project contest,
  •  the Investodrom meeting between product and content developers and investors,
  •  and the Foresight Auto contest among young car manufacturing professionals.
The upcoming PTFair 2018 is scheduled for March 20 to March 22. It is to take place at the Expoforum CEC (64/1 Peterburgskoye Shosse, St. Petersburg, Russia).
